  11. Since last time I posted, I received a few helpful tips about simply lowering
  12. the connection speed until I could get a reliable connection. Unfortunately, 
  13. it seems like there is a compatibility problem between the Microcom Deskportes
  14. and the Aceex 2814. I can't get a good connection at ANY speed between these
  15. modems (at least not from 14k and up)!

  21. My version i SUPPOSED to support V.34. I haven't been able to try it at any
  22. length since this trouble with the modems at the other end.

  28. I guess this is where the trouble is. When I disable negotiation the modem 
  29. locks up every now and then but sometimes picks up again. This way, I've been 
  30. able to keep a connection (on and off) for about ten minutes. "And there was
  31. much rejoicing..."
