- Since last time I posted, I received a few helpful tips about simply lowering
- the connection speed until I could get a reliable connection. Unfortunately,
- it seems like there is a compatibility problem between the Microcom Deskportes
- and the Aceex 2814. I can't get a good connection at ANY speed between these
- modems (at least not from 14k and up)!

-
- My version i SUPPOSED to support V.34. I haven't been able to try it at any
- length since this trouble with the modems at the other end.

-
- I guess this is where the trouble is. When I disable negotiation the modem
- locks up every now and then but sometimes picks up again. This way, I've been
- able to keep a connection (on and off) for about ten minutes. "And there was
- much rejoicing..."

- Here's another one.
